The 9 plates show, brigade by brigade, the detailed orders of battle of the Prussian and the Austrian & Saxon Armies during the Battle of Torgau.
All brigades are studied. The infantry regiments are detailed by battalion and the cavalry regiments by groups of 2 or 3 squadrons, forming roughly equivalent front units (on the battlefield, the front of a battalion was roughly equal to that of 2 or 3 squadrons). Artillery batteries are also studied. The strength of these units, the day of the battle, are calculated and indicated.
Uniforms and flags are shown for each unit.
