The game covers a clash between German, Austro-Hungarian and Russian armies. Huge armies gathered on the west bank of the Vistula in November, seeking resolution in a decisive battle. The scales of victory tilted from side to side but finally the German side emerged as victor. The best divisions of the Russian army suffered heavy losses.
The game is divided in three scenarios, covering different stages of the battle. Each stage has different objectives, marked by victory points. Supply plays a key role, when planning offensives on enemy soil.
A fourth scenario combines map and units from this game with the map and units from Tannenberg 1914 and covers the Second Battle of Masurian Lakes.
