The Southern Group of Soviet forces starts the final strike into the heart of Germany - Berlin.

Field Marschal Koniev is competing with Zukhow to be the first to reach Berlin.

1st Ukrainian Front, lead by the marshal Koniev was one of the two Soviet forces that could reach Berlin. Koniev’s rivalry with Zhukov was well known, so Stalin gave both marshals a chance to reach Berlin first. Koniev’s idea was to attack the capital of Germany from the south but very soon he met a stiff resistance of the Germans, supported by the elite SS and Herman Goering armored divisions. Soviet and Polish units were involved in the bloody struggles and the German pressure was so strong that at some positions Koniev’s men had to retreat.

The first strike of Soviet forces was overwhelming - they break through German lines and move forward, but the Germans do not give up. They pull up their last remaining reinforcements and counter attack at the stretched south flank of the Red Army, which happens to be the Polish II Army.

A fierce and bloody battle begins where prisoners are not taken.

The game uses rules of the B95 system designed for dealing with large battles of World War II. Counters represent regiments (Germans) or divisions (Russians), one hex represents about 2500m, one turn represents one day.
