Jena 1806, the first game in the "BCW" series, simulates the battle fought on October 14, 1806, in Thuringia (Duchy of Saxe-Weimar) during the War of the Fourth Coalition. Emperor Napoleon I commanded the French army: 20,880 men and 42 guns at the start of the day (Lannes' V Corps), and a total of 95,600 men and 177 guns by the end. Prince Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen commanded the combined Saxon-Prussian army: 40,500 men and 98 guns at the start of the day, rising to 54,700 men and 122 guns with the reinforcement of Rüchel's corps.
