Santander '37 (Snafu Small Battles #2) is a reimplementation of Javier Romero's Corpo Truppe Volontarie: Santander 1937. The reimplementation is not just a graphical revamp, several rules have been rewritten to make the game more simple (for example, victory points and republican morale are now unified, the basque surrender is more variable, the Reinosa Factory has more effects, and some other improvements).

With a traditional hex & counter "I go-You go" mechanics, the Nationalist player must try to conquer all important victory point hexes without incurring many losses. In this new edition, some rules changes are:
- Victory Points and Morale have been merged in a single item, which is the key to victory: reduce Republican Morale to zero or raise it over 5.
- Disorganization of units is now a key factor.
- Setup rules have been revised.
- Use of assets and other resources has been modified.
