Description: 4 months after the Polish Army won the Battle of Grunwald (July 15, 1410), another great battle took place near Koronowo.

Historical overview: After the victory at Grunwald, the Polish Army began the siege of Malbork (July 25 - September 19, 1410). However, the castle was not captured and the Teutonic troops began to regain control over most of their areas. About 4 thousand The mercenary Teutonic army arrived in Gdańsk Pomerania with the intention of attacking Kujawy and capturing Bydgoszcz. After gathering the popular militia, King Władysław Jagiełło sent a unit of about 2,000. armed forces to stop the enemy. Koronowo was a strategic place. The shortest route from Tuchola to Bydgoszcz passed through here,

The Poles managed to capture Koronowo, so the Teutonic Knights, surprised by the Polish readiness to fight, began to retreat. Horse archers gave chase. Seeing that it would be impossible to avoid a fight, the Teutonic troops stopped on a hill located 7 kilometers from Koronowo, where they took up a convenient position to end the battle with one attack. There was a battle in which the Poles managed to capture the Teutonic banner.
