Blitzkrieg 1939 : German 16th Corps (or Blitzkrieg 1939 II) is the second game in the mini-series "Blitzkrieg 1939".
Two German armored divisions from the 16th Corps forming part of the German 10th Army attacked through the Częstochowa gap directly at Warsaw, cutting off the Łódź Army and Pomerania from the Vistula line.
The biggest battle took place near Piotrków Trybunalski, where the Germans smashed the Polish 19th Infantry Division, and near Tomaszów Mazowiecki, where the Polish 13th Infantry Division was destroyed.
The German divisions reached the outskirts of the Polish capital in the nine days, but despite this, they failed to capture the city.
